98% Chimp Inc. ("we," "our," or "us") builds neuroscience-grounded tools for self-awareness and development. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information across our website (www.98chimp.ca) and our family of products... DK Derby, BrainFit, Unison, Loomi, and Meelo.

Scope

This policy applies to the www.98chimp.ca website and all products developed by 98% Chimp Inc. Individual products may have supplementary privacy terms that address product-specific data practices. Where a product-specific policy exists, it layers on top of this one.

Our Commitment to Children's Privacy

Loomi is designed for children ages 0-6 and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable privacy laws. We do not collect, use, or share personal information from children.

For Loomi specifically, child profile information (name and age range) is stored exclusively on the parent's device and is never transmitted to our servers. Our other products are designed for adults and do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Through Our Website

• Email address — If you sign up for a beta program or newsletter, we collect the email you provide
• Usage data — Standard web analytics (pages visited, referral source, device type) collected in aggregate

Through Our Apps

• Apple ID authentication — If you sign in with Apple, we receive only the minimum information necessary (a unique identifier and, optionally, your email)
• In-app preferences — Settings and personalization choices you make within each product
• Assessment data (Meelo) — Developmental assessment results are stored locally on the device and shared only at the direction of the parent or clinician

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect photos, videos, or voice recordings
• We do not use analytics that track individual children
• We do not sell or share data for advertising purposes

How We Use Information

The limited information we collect is used solely to:

• Personalize your experience within our products

• Send beta invitations or product updates you've opted into

• Improve our products through aggregate, anonymized usage patterns

Data Storage

• Local-first approach: Wherever possible, user data is stored on your device rather than in the cloud
• Loomi: Child profiles stored exclusively on-device. No cloud sync of child data
• Meelo: Assessment data stored locally on the iPad. Clinicians control any data export
• Audio content: Story and audio files may be downloaded for offline use

Our products use the following third-party services:

• Apple Sign-In — For secure authentication
• Apple App Store — For processing purchases and subscriptions

We do not use third-party advertising networks, sell data to brokers, or integrate social media tracking.
